The emerging science of interpersonal neurobiology is revolutionizing sexology and psychology, as it starts to map out ways that our bodies, brains and nervous systems are not separate from each other. Rather, they are in the constant process of not only connecting with and changing our felt states, but shaping each other’s nervous systems. When we intentionally access these systems, we harness our potential for pleasure. This workshop explores how it is the quality of our connection, rather than the activities we engage in, that leads to great sex, and offers simple embodied practices that enhance the body’s capacity for connection.

About Deej:

Deej is a leader in the fields of somatic education and embodied counselling. His work supports clients to mobilize their capacities for growth, learning and change.

He supports the development of somatic work internationally through professional trainings for embodied counsellors and somatic sex educators, and professional supervision for people who work, or want to work, somatically.

Deej has over 30 years experience in adult education, teacher training, embodied counselling and various forms of bodywork. He was the founding president of the Somatic Sex Educators’ Association of Australasia, and is a co-director of the Institute of Somatic Sexology. He was awarded Somatic Sex Educator of the Year for 2016 at the Sexual Freedom Awards in London. Work with him here
