GINA STIRLING
Saturday 12th June @ 7pm AEDT / 7am GMT
Burlesque – Inspired by Debra Paget’s famous snake dance scene in the Indian Tomb Movie and fusion dance
Revealing herself as a political, radical, self-loving act. Gina started Burlesque 8 years ago under the name Mimi and has been performing internationally in Burlesque, cabaret and musical theatre for over a decade. One of her fondest memories was winning 1st place of her category at The World Burlesque games 2014 in London and teaching workshops all over Europe. In 2015 she decided to take a break to travel the world and find a place she could call home, which ended up being in Melbourne, Australia.
October 2019 Stirling made a comeback into the Burlesque and musical theatre world- which started with a season of Mamma Mia the Musical with CLOC Productions at The National Theatre and then debuting as Gina at The Australian Burlesque Festival October 2020. Stirling’s style explores classic, neo and cabaret mixed into a sensual cocktail of lust. As well as a performer, she is also an instructor at Bottoms Up, Brunswick. She is extremely passionate about body confidence, sexual empowerment and seeing her students flourish through dance. Feast your eyes on this femme fatale as she allures her audiences from far and wide.
